CLASSIC
One of the most widely recognized cocktails, and for good reason! The simplicity of its ingredients and presentation belie some serious complexity. Don’t believe the stories about the “dry” martini using little to no vermouth – vermouth is an essential companion to the vodka in this cocktail. Without vermouth, you are just drinking a glass of cold vodka.
DIRECTIONS
In an ice-filled mixing glass, combine vodka and Vermouth. Stir for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon peel, or as many olives as you like.
